New Zealand Study Tour 2026 Day 11

日期: 03/04/2026

Today, our students visited Te Puia Geothermal Park for an educational and immersive experience in geothermal activity. They had the opportunity to observe fascinating natural phenomena, including steaming streams, bubbling mud pools, and Pohutu Geyser — the largest active geyser in the Southern Hemisphere.

Following this, the students were treated to a traditional Māori welcome ceremony, gaining a meaningful insight into the rich and vibrant culture of New Zealand's indigenous people.

In the afternoon, the group visited the National Kiwi Hatchery at Agrodome, home to one of the world's leading conservation programmes dedicated to the recovery of the critically endangered kiwi species. Through this visit, the students developed a deeper appreciation for the importance of wildlife conservation and the urgent efforts being made to protect the kiwi bird from extinction.
